What an absolutely incredible day we had at the Claverdon Fun Run 2025! As we sit here today, still buzzing from Sunday's fantastic event, we wanted to reach out whilst the memories are fresh to say the biggest THANK YOU to every single person who made the Claverdon Fun Run 2025 such a resounding success.

Our amazing community spirit
What struck us most wasn't just the fantastic running performances - though we were genuinely impressed by every single runner who crossed that finish line - but the incredible community spirit on display. From the youngest participants in our 200m dash to our most seasoned 5km challengers, everyone supported each other brilliantly. The cheering from the sidelines, the encouragement from our marshals, and the general atmosphere of celebration made this event truly special.
Enormous thanks to our volunteers!
We simply cannot express enough gratitude to our volunteer army. From those who arrived at 8:00 am to set up registration, to our marshals who stood out on the course cheering every runner, to our first aiders, photographers, refreshment teams, MC, medal givers, and everyone in between - you were absolutely brilliant. Your enthusiasm and dedication made all the difference, and we're so lucky to have such wonderful people in our community who are willing to give their time for a great cause.

Their contributions allowed us to provide medals for every finisher, professional photography, refreshments, as well as the ability to keep the course safe with road closures and all the logistical elements that made the day run smoothly. A special mention to our two parent volunteers who provided professional photography services on the day. Missed out on a t-shirt? Don't worry!
We know some of you weren't able to order a t-shirt before the event but would now love one as a memento of your achievement (and who can blame you!). We're delighted to announce that we'll be placing one final t-shirt order to accommodate anyone who'd like to purchase one. Please note that an order will be placed if we meet the minimum order requirement.
The order will be open FOR ONE WEEK until Wednesday 8th October. These t-shirts are the same high-quality ones offered before the event, featuring our Fun Run design, and are available in all the same colours and sizes for both adults and children.

Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the Fun Run year on year. Whether you have suggestions for the course, thoughts on the organisation, ideas for new distances, or just want to share what you loved most about the day, we'd love to hear from you.
All feedback will be carefully considered as we begin planning for 2026. We're already excited about next year and any insights you can share will help us make it even better.
The impact of your participation
Every entry fee, every t-shirt purchase, every bacon roll and ice cream sold, and every pound raised through our TotalGiving platform goes directly towards supporting Claverdon Primary School. The funds raised from this event will make a real difference to the educational opportunities and resources available to our children. Thank you for being part of something that will benefit our school community for years to come.

Final thoughts
Sunday proved once again that Claverdon has an extraordinary community. Seeing families running together, friends cheering each other on, neighbours volunteering their time, and local businesses supporting the event reminded us why we love organising this Fun Run.
To everyone who ran - whether you completed 200m or 5km, whether you ran, jogged, or walked across that finish line - you should be enormously proud of your achievement. To everyone who supported from the sidelines - your cheers made such a difference. To everyone who volunteered - you're absolute stars. And to everyone who contributed in any way to making this day special - thank you.
